Whalley Bells: 2024 Centenary Project

The Whalley bells were recast by John Taylor & Co, Loughborough in March of 1924 as a new peal of 8 bells. Having been well used for the last 100 years, the bells are starting to show signs of wear and tear. A new project is planned for 2024 to refurbish the bells such they can continue to ring out for the next 100 years.

If sufficient funds can be raised, part 2 of the project will implement a new sound control system to allow the bell sound to be reduced in the local area around the tower, while still allowing them to ring out for all church, national and local village events, just as they have in the past for many hundreds of years.

Help us raise funds for this work, to add sound control and to celebrate the centenary in 2024.
